Ultra-Classic Five Cheese

The Commish

Named after Charlotte County’s very own Commissioner, Bill Truex. Seasoned, sauteed jalapenos and onion, cheddar cheese and apple cider bacon slices.

Thinly sliced roast beef and melted provolone cheese, au jus for dipping, served on a freshly baked hoagie roll. Although this popular sandwich is not French at all, the originator, Philippe Mathieu was. The story is he accidentally dropped the bread into the meats roasting pan, and a classic was born.

The Philly ———- $14
Thinly sliced, seasoned blend of sirloin and ribeye meat that comes straight from Philadelphia! No cheese whiz on this sandwich. Served with aged cheddar, white cheddar cheese sauce, mushrooms, and onions. Served on a freshly baked hoagie roll.

The Knuckle Sandwich ———- $12
Baked in our stone pizza oven, the knuckle sandwich is blackened chicken, aged cheddar cheese and apple cider bacon slices. Served on a ciabatta roll and perfectly toasted in our panini press.
Caprese Pesto Chicken Sandwich ———- $13
Baked in our stone pizza oven, the caprese pesto chicken sandwich is marinated chicken, vine-ripened tomatoes, fresh whole mozzarella, and fresh pesto. Served on a ciabatta roll and perfectly toasted in our panini press.
The CranFunk Grilled Cheese ———- $13

Pressed panini with a marriage of brie cheese, Granny Smith apples, candied pecans, and homemade apricot-cranberry chutney.

Our homemade meatloaf, grilled and topped with aged cheddar, apple cider bacon slices and fried onion straws. Served on a fresh baked brioche bun. Honey sriracha served on the side.
Double Down Club Sandwich ———- $14
Ham, turkey, bacon, Swiss, cheddar, lettuce, and tomato with roasted garlic aioli on 3 layers of toasted bread. Choose between freshly baked wheat, brioche or rye. An all-time triple stack classic.
The Sportster Sandwich ———- $12
Grilled turkey, Swiss and bacon, served on slice brioche bread.

Pizzas

Our Pizza dough is made fresh in house and proofed for 2 days to ensure the best possible pizza. It is a 60-year-old recipe that was served in an Italian restaurant in Kansas City for decades. The Fork has a full house, 8 cube water filtration system with a carbon filter to ensure that the dough and all the recipes start with the best water possible. We prepare all our pizzas and oven baked sandwiches in a traditional stone oven.
Any of the pizzas below can be made with the following pizza crust options:

Chicago Thin Crust – 12-inch round, pressed in our dough press, cut into squares. Traditional thin crust pizza.

Hand Tossed – 12-inch round, pressed and tossed by hand, cut into slices.

Stuffed Detroit Deep Dish – The dough used for this pizza is a traditional Detroit style, but we decided that two layers are better than one. So, we stuff two layers of dough with toppings and of course top the second story as well! Gatta be hungry to tackle this pizza!

Roman Pizza – This pizza offers a completely different experience to traditional pizza. The crust is denser with a higher moisture content. This pizza is irregular shaped and maintains a crispier, non-doughy finish.

Cauliflower Crust – Gluten and grain free, our cauliflower pizza crust is a great option for those avoiding carbs, yet want a thin pizza experience. Add $3.

Blackened chicken breasts, smothered in homemade sweet-creamed corn, apple cider bacon slices, shredded cheese blend, diced tomatoes and chives. Served over garlic smashed red potatoes.
Brown Sugar Bourbon Salmon ———– $25
Sushi grade salmon, marinated and grilled to perfection. Cooked to medium, unless otherwise specified. Served with broccoli, carrots and yellow saffron rice and black beans.
Baked Ziti ———– $22
Penne pasta baked with a mixture of ground beef, ground sausage, ricotta, mozzarella, parmesan cheeses, homemade vodka red sauce and homemade garlic parmesan breadcrumbs. An Italian classic with a twist.
Ropa Vieja ———– $26
From the Spanish translation, “old clothes”, this is one of the island countries most beloved and famous dishes. We’ve put our own spin on this Cuban favorite by smoking the meat prior to its long 8-hour simmer into an amazingly flavorful Latin entree. Served over yellow rice and black beans, garnished with lime plantain chips.

Grits done right! Pick your favorite dance partner to accompany these amazingly cheesy, creamy southern grits. Cooked to perfection, this recipe is like no other.

Our coffee beans are roasted weekly by a local Port Charlotte roaster and are a Guatemalan & Columbian blend. They are always fresh, and we grind the beans as coffee is made to further maintain its freshness. We store our coffee in air pots, not over a burner so the coffee is never charred or evaporated.

We have now been here twice in the past week. Everything we have had is delicious, but for myself, the grits are absolutely delicious I cannot get enough of them! I had the blackened shrimp and grits the first time, tonight I had a burger and swapped the side for grits again. Lol!!! We can’t get enough! Service is great despite how busy they are! Amazing atmosphere, happy to see some normalcy come back to the world!

Went to Twisted Fork today for the first time for lunch and have to say "it was amazing" is an understatement!! I ordered the Road King Special (Prime Rib Sandwich) & a Mixed Greens House Salad with grilled chicken!!! Everything was absolutely wonderful!!!! The Prime Rib on the Road King Special was seasoned and cooked to PERFECTION!!! Juicy, tender and flavorful.!!! I would highly recommend them.!! I can’t wait to go back and try out the rest of the menu!!!

Heard a lot of good things about The Twisted Fork, so had to try it out. Myself, my wife, and our roommate went and we were more that satisfied. The staff was great, the food was unbelievable, and the atmosphere was incredible. If I could give it more stars I would. If you haven’t tried it, you definitely should, you will not be disappointed.

My fiancé and I wanted to finally get a taste of the Twisted Fork and we were not disappointed. From the rustic American atmosphere, the large menu, and excellent tasting food, this is a place I recommend to anyone looking for a night out with a significant other or a group of friends. We look forward to coming more often. Also, check out the cocktails at the bar, you might not even remember your trip 😉
